Ingredients

For the Dish:

  • Cream cheese: 220 g
  • Mayonnaise: 200 g (or substitute with yogurt or sour cream for a healthier option)
  • Hard cheese: 50 g
  • Green chili: 100 g
  • Jalapeño peppers: 100 g
  • Parmesan: 50 g
  • Breadcrumbs: 100 g
  • Olive oil: 1 tbsp = 17 g
  • Green onions: to taste

For Serving:

  • Chips: 150 g

Step-by-Step Instructions

Preparation:

  1. Wash and dry the green onions. Grate the hard cheese and Parmesan.

Cooking Steps:

Step 1:
Combine grated hard cheese with softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Chop green chili and jalapeño peppers finely. Mix half of the grated Parmesan, green chili, and jalapeños into the creamy cheese mixture. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

Step 2:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Mix the remaining Parmesan with breadcrumbs and olive oil, then sprinkle the mixture evenly on top of the cheese base. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Step 3:
While the sauce bakes, finely chop the green onions. Sprinkle them on the baked cheese sauce right before serving for added freshness and flavor.
